HOLLYWOOD, Calif., February 29, 2016 – ZEESMAN, one of Los Angeles’ leading branding, marketing and design firms with differentiating expertise in strategy, messaging and high impact communications programs, announced today that Sunny Lee has joined the company as creative director. Lee, who has worked extensively at branding and design firms and for many Fortune 500 companies, will bring her significant experience in reinvigorating and developing brands to ZEESMAN clients seeking a competitive edge.

For more than 15 years, Lee has worked with some of California’s leading creative agencies providing strategic brand communications that captured, defined and articulated the essence of her clients. Her work spans a wide range of industries including technology, entertainment, healthcare, cultural institutions and nonprofits. Most recently Lee worked for Applied Storytelling as chief design officer where she created foundational frameworks and designed brand strategies that developed as her clients’ stories matured. Prior to that, Lee worked at Baker Brand Communications as a senior designer, and as a graphic designer at Mentus. Throughout her career, Lee has applied her expertise to market leaders including Activision, Sempra Energy, Avery Dennison, the National Portrait Gallery, The Henry Ford Museum, Qualcomm and the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, Lee has earned a stellar reputation for the strategic brand guidance and initiatives she has produced for major entertainment companies.
Lee graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in visual communications design from the University of Washington in Seattle and was recognized as one of the premier student designers in the country with the AIGA Student Award. She was also a featured guest lecturer in the Gauge Design Speaker Series at California State University, Los Angeles, in 2015.
